Thankful Thursday

I have been waiting for Thursday for what seems like a week. I have a lot to be thankful for this week:
1. I am thankful that my husband is safe.
2. I am thanful Harold is alive.
3. I am thankful for the love and support of all my friends and family. Thank you for thinking of us.
4. I am thankful for kleenex.
5. I am thankful for Lehi Police and all the training they have had. If they hadn't reacted as fast as they did, there would have been a lot more people hurt or dead.
6. I am thankful for my mom and sisters for taking my kids and keeping them occupied.
7. Kleenex.
8. I am thankful for all the other agencies in the area that stepped up on Monday and helped our guys, by taking there calls and just being there offering their support.
9. I am thankful my husband is a part of such a good and loving department. They really stick together and love and support each other.
10. I am thankful for a husband who is patient and understanding when his wife has a freak-out, or ten.
I am not good at putting my thoughts down in writing. I am just glad things didn't turn out worse. It is awesome how much these guys love each other. They are with each other everyday depending on each other with their lives. They are a big family, and nobody messes with their family, wives and children included. They really pull together and unite. It is quit awesome to see. Our thoughts and prayers are with Harold and his family. We love you.

Summer Fun!

My mom went to Missouri and brought my sisters boys home with her for two weeks. We are so excited to have them here. Yesterday we all went to the Lehi swimming pool. Jaycie headed over to the diving board and asked my niece Torey if she wanted to come. So they went over and Jaycie jumped and the next thing we knew Torey was going off the diving board. Apparently Torey thought she could swim better than she actually could, because the next thing we knew a lifeguard was jumping in to save her. It was pretty funny. Her head never went under but the lifeguard told my sister "she wasn't swimming quit as good as he would have liked." It was funny cuz it would be Torey that needed saving. She is such a daredevil, but as my sistersays "she doesn't think beyond the moment." We love her. So anyway we decided today that we would swim in our pool. It is more her speed.:)

Kinzie, Garrett, Torey, some bug eyed girl jk it's Taylor, and Jaycie

Jake and Tanner soaking up some rays! They were super cold.

Gage and Colton are way to cool to swim.

Happy Father's Day!

On this Father's Day I would really like to say how blessed I am to have some great men in my life. My Dad is awesome. When we were growing up Natilie and I were friends with another pair of sisters that were the same age as us. We were best friends and my dad would always make sure they new they were welcome at our house because he would give Natilie and I kisses and then tease them by chasing them around trying to kiss them(he was totally teasing) and they would just scream and yell. It was funny. He did it every time. I also remember him playing hide with us. He would go hide in the dark house and we would have to find him and make it safely back to our room before being captured, he would spend hours playing baseball with me so I could try out for little league and then softball in High School. When I needed him he was there and even now sometimes if I have a bad day and I hear his voice or see him I will just start to bawl, and he laughs and gives me a hug, then everything is all better. Thanks Dad for always being there. My Grandpa Dan was always fun to be around, and now that I am older I realize how funny he is. He is a very crafty man, he can make anything out of wood, doors, and even antlers, one year he made all the granddaughters earrings and belt buckles out of antlers. They were really cool. He is also a great gardner and knows everything about flowers and vegetable. I really look up to him. Now I know the stigma of in-laws but mine are great. Jeff's dad is a really great man. He is an even more awesome Grandpa. He enjoys playing with kids and when we go up to his house for Friday night dinner you will always find him outside playing with the kids. He has been known to toss the kids into the air without any thought to how sore he will be in the morning.
Last but not least, Jeff. What can I say that hasn't already been said. He is great. He always tells me I am pretty and he calls my girls "beautiful". They are beautiful, but it just does something to a little girl to hear her daddy tell her she is beautiful and it melts my heart when he does. He really boosts there self-esteem. He always knows when I have had a bad day, and he tries to cheer me up. He is an awesome dad, and he is an even greater husband. Happy Fathers Day, I am very lucky to have a man like you.

Happy Birthday Babe!

This picture of Jeff was taken 36 years ago Friday. Well, he was 6 months old in the picture but I didn't have a baby one. I just wanted to wish him Happy Birthday. I know it is a couple of days late but since we were gone I had to do it today. He was a cute baby, what happened to him? :)j.k. he is still cute. He is such a great husband and father, I don't know what we would do without him. So Happy Belated Birthday(on the blog) babe. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Utah Summer Games

We were able to go to the Utah Summer Games in Cedar City this weekend. Kinzie was competing in gymnastics. It was her best meet this season. She is in Level 6 and this year she has been struggling, but she has muddled through. She has State next week. It will be her final meet this season. Yeah! We love to watch her and the rest of team, but if you have ever been to a meet before you know how stinking long they are. For those of you who don't know they are 4-6 hours long, depending on the venue. We are very proud of her for not giving up and always trying her best.
We left on Thursday and she didn't compete until Saturday, so we decided to jaunt down to St. George, with the Shepherds' to Sand Hollow Reservoir. We hung out there for a couple of hours and swam. It was pretty there. It kind of reminded me of a little Lake Powell, very little, and we love Lake Powell. We climbed down some rocks to a sandy shoreline. After the kids got into the water they discovered a dead duck. Being the manly man that he his Jeff went out and rescued the duck and then proceeded to toss it on the shoreline a couple of feet away from us. Now not only do we have to worry about Swimmers itch but we need to watch out for the Bird Flu. Can you get that from dead ducks? Nat can you tell me. But as of now, no swimmers itch.

Kinzie on the podium with her Bronze medal for vault. She scored an 8.25; on floor 7.9; on beam 7.725; on bars 6.6 this is her hardest event.

Here is the team cheering on one of their own on vault.

Tagged- Again!

My sister tagged me to divulge random things about me. This was kind of hard. I reserve the right to update as I think of things. So stay tuned.

Here are some random things about me:

1. I hate rain, unless I am by myself and I can curl up in my big chair with a blanket, diet coke, and a good book.
2. I have a picture of me with Sonny Corinthos(General Hospital). I am considering having it blown up and hung above my bed.
3. I organize my grocery cart as I am shopping. (It's my OCD kicking in)
4. I hate slow drivers. If you are going to drive, push on the stinkin' gas and drive. Don't mosey. It pisses me off.
5. I am afraid of heights. This is a newly discovered fear. (who new)
6. I hate cats. (we have three)
7. I love the smell of a campfire, but I hate to smell like campfire.
8. I really want to jump out of an airplane. I know, how will I do that if I am scared of heights, but I will do it, even if I am 80.
9. I have to have a bowl of cereal before bed.
10. Daniel Craig (James Bond) would be my "Free Pass". I think he would have to be in character though.
11. Jeff and I met cruising A.F. main street.
12. I want to pierce my belly button. I just don't dare.
13. I hate pain. That is why I don't pierce the button.
14. I love to read. Drives Jeff crazy. I figured out that I spend a lot of money on purchasing books,.
15. If I quit buying books I could actually afford that black, convertible Mustang I really want.
16. I can lift both of my big toes, and point them straight up in the air.
17. I really want an English Bulldog named Lewis and I want a pig named Carl. They would be friends.
18. I can't sing or dance, but wish I could.
19. When I cook egg, I have to scoop out that hard white thing that looks like....well, something that shouldn't be in egg.
20. Every time I go up stairs I count them. Doesn't matter what stairs, I count them.

I tag Shaunte, Mirm, Jenn, and Kathy
