Torch Run

Every year Police Departments all over Utah try to raise money for the Special Olympics. The 10 Departments that raise the most money get their names on the back of the t-shirts. This is the second year Lehi has gotten their names on the shirt. Some of the officers go to Applebee's and wait on the customers for tips. All tips go to the Special Olympics. So this time next year make sure you go to Applebee's and help Lehi Police support the Special Olympics. The torch starts in a city up north(I can't remember which one) and is passed from city to city. Each city runs it through their own city and passed it on to the next. They even had some of the special olympians running with them this year. It is pretty cool to watch. There are a lot of motorcycle cops and other police cars. Almost like a parade. And I love a parade. Especially a parade with hot sweaty men:)
Jeff is not a runner but, every year he goes and runs the torch run. It is about five miles from when it is passed to us and we pass it to A.F. I don't understand how you can run that far and not fall dead after the first 1/4 mile. I don't run. I hate it. I can't breathe, and my legs hurt. He does this every year, and he goes all the way. He doesn't even act like he's tired. It is not fair. But I think it is cool he will do this. Thanks Sean for posing for this pic. That is a mighty big gun you have. teehee
Here is my handsome husband.

Here is all the guys being escorted.

This is my man, he has just finished his run.

This is American Fork Police Department getting ready to do their run to Pleasant Grove. There has got to be something said about a bunch of sweaty men running down the road for a good cause. It was a good thing it was raining, cuz I needed cooling off:)

Finally!

Finally, Jaycie has lost her top front tooth. This has been a long awaited event. She is a little slow on the tooth loosing. She has only lost three (4 now) on the bottom and this has really been a problem for her. She needs money. And she hasn't been able to put her name on the "Lost Tooth" board at school. It has probably been at least 6-8 months since the last tooth had fallen out. As soon as she discovered this tooth was loose she has been working at it mercilessly. Jeff ended up tying a piece of floss around the tooth and then he tied a butter knife to the other end, and she sat at the counter watching T.V. pulling on the knife to get her tooth out. After about 15 minutes it finally came out. Now I want the other tooth out cause she looks like a snagglepuss. Her other tooth is huge. It makes her look funny. The other tooth is all doinky. The thing about Jaycie is the fact that as soon as a tooth wiggles even a little bit, she wants it out. She doesn't have the patience to wait until it is ready. She also left a note for the tooth fairy asking it's name. So FYI our tooth fairies name is Betty. I know what the H kind of name is Betty for a tooth fairy. That is the best I could come up with on such short notice.

Happy Mothers Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year. My fabulous husband gave me a gift certificate to Buckle. My favorite store. He was going to get me one to Rodworks, but decided the Buckle one was more for me whereas the Rodworks one was more for the house. He is a thinker that one. I love him. He is great. I really would like to thank his mom and my mother-in-law for raising such a great man. He helps out around the house, he takes care of the kids(he is better at it sometimes that me)he is thoughtful, and he has never forgotten a Birthday, Holiday or Anniversary, and his gifts are thoughtful, not just something he grabs. So Joyce, thank you for raising such a great man. I love my mother-in-law too. She is not interfering and we get along great. I love her like my own mom.
Colton gave me a pitcher( I call it a gravy boat) that he made in ceramics. It wasn't a Mothers Day gift, it was just an assignment and he said he made it with me in mind. Kinzie made me a pen with a flower on the top. It is great, she won't let anyone use it except me. Tonight someone other than me used the pen, and the green tape that covers the pen started moving, and she was in tears because it was ruined. We fixed it though so everything is a-okay. Jaycie made me a nice card and then her and Kinzie made me crown to wear all day. They are getting more thoughtful as they get older. I am so proud of the way I am raising them. jk.
I would also like to thank my own mom. She was a great listener when we were growing up. Whenever we had problem we new we could go to our mom and she might be dissapointed but she never judged. She taught us how to keep house and she did teach us how to cook. I am thankful for all the love and support my mom has given me through the years. Thanks Mom. I hope all of you had as good a Mother's Day as I did.

Happy Birthday Colton!

Thirteen years ago we were blessed with a 3lb. 6oz. (9 weeks early) baby boy. Jeff and I had a hard time deciding on a name, so baby Magnusson lay in an incubator for 2days without a name. Jeff came and told me he looked like a Colton instead of a Joshua, and so we named him Colton J. We are so blessed that he grew up into a healthy, happy young man.(I know, I am way to young to have a 13 year old.) Colton has a great sense of humor, although he has hit that obnoxious age, and he has a very gushy heart. He can't stand to hurt anyone's feelings, and if he does he feels guilty about it forever. He is very responsible and smart. He has made the honor roll in junior high every semester. He is very lovable, and he likes to cuddle with his mom. He is also liking himself very much at this point in his life, which, I am glad he is self-confident, but come on bud, share the dang mirror. His sisters look up to him and his dad and I are very proud of the young man he is becoming. Happy Birthday Buddy! You are a handsome star:) We Love You and are very gald you are a part of our family.
